Religious Debates

Critic 1:-

Immigrants into the West from Muslim countries find a completely different culture which clashes with that of their native countries. That is why many Muslim young people in America turn away from Islam because they cannot make sense of it.

Critic 2:-

That is why many Muslims are so afraid of discussion, debate, and freedom of thought in their own countries. Muslims know that the message of Islam is so weak that if people are allowed to discuss it openly in their own countries, everyone would turn against it.

Comment:-

In Truth Islam is the simplest of all religions to understand:-

(1) There is only One God, the originator, creator and maintainer of the Universe and all things in it. (2) There is a purpose for the Creation of the Universe and all things in it, including man. (3) Human beings must adjust to the Laws of the Universe created by God for their own welfare and development.

Nothing complicated here.

The complication and confusion arises only when people meet and are conditioned by ideas and a way of life that ignores these fundamental truths, are conditioned by them and do not wish to undertake the discipline which these fundamental truths entail, and invent and are distracted by ideas designed to suppress these fundamental truth and justify rejecting them.

Truth is, of course, one and the same everywhere. Controversies and Debates, therefore, arise only when falsehood is created and supported against truth.

Critic:-

Some Muslims think that Islam is the efficient cure for the world from the horrible disease of Capitalism. But it is seems truer that Islam is an efficient "cure" for "freedom of thought".

Comment:-

Yes, Capitalism is a disease and Islam is the only cure. But it has its beneficial functions and exist while people are as they are. It will disappear when people are transformed.

"Free thought" means that a person is not constrained by knowledge of facts or by reason or insight or any kind of discipline, but indulges in fantasy, prejudices, subjective desires, impulse and accident, drifting like a straw in any direction the wind happens to blow.

If then Islam is a cure for such free thought it is a good thing - it objective, and has direction and purpose.

Critic:-

Muslims seem afraid of the Christian message of peace and love.

Comment:-

Teachings about peace and love are incorporated in Islam. Indeed, one meaning of "Islam" is peace that derives from harmony and surrender to Allah. It is the Christianity as taught by the Church that cannot stand up to Islam and its existence requires techniques of brain washing.

From the messages on these Internet sites posted by Christians one gets the impression that it is hate and conflict which they peddle.

We know from their past politics that many Christians use the "forked tongue" or "double talk". They use words such as love and peace to mean the opposite or to hide ulterior motives. In fact they have been very good at distorting the teachings of the Prophets.

They have brain washed and lulled many people with these words so as to soften then up to invasion and capitalist and political domination without resistance.

Now they have abandoned the teachings of Jesus and become champions of "free thought", altering the doctrines and practices of their religion in accordance with whim and to conform to current cultural trends, thereby destroying the transforming power of religion. Free thought, of course, means that any ignorant or unintelligent individual has the right to express his opinions based on fantasy, ignorance and impulse. This gives people an illusion of freedom and self-importance and occupies their time and energy in debates and mutual contradiction, leaving the politician and capitalist free to ply their interests with immunity.

Debates simply require that people should take entrenched positions for or against something. The aim of the contest is not to reach truth, but to win. The winner is decided by the numerical superiority of those selected to vote, not their intelligence or knowledge.

That is what makes Muslims wary of them.
