Quoting Hadith
Critic:-
This quote really brings out Mohammed's "shining" views on women. He automatically condemns the majority of them to hell. According to him a woman's intellectual capacity is only half that of a man and that is why two women are required as witnesses as compared to one man.
Comment:-
We note from your previous posts that your main interest is attacking Islam irrespective of right or wrong, good or evil. Here you pose as a champion of women, which is, of course, an expediency.
But if you wish to be rational rather than hysterical then:-
First you have to establish that the report is genuine. And whether it was accurate.
Then you must determine who he was talking to. Who were the group of women and what was their character and why had they gathered.
Then you must also determine what the mood and intention of the statements were. Was he saying this in a light hearted manner or trying to get the women to behave better? Was he speaking about this group of women or the women of his times or about women in general. Or was he stating a truth.
If these things are not known the criticism is irrelevant and futile.
If what he said was true then all your opinions and speculations come to nothing.
So we conclude that these criticisms can be dismissed as irrational nonsense. They would be thrown out of any court.
