Origins
Critic:-
Scholars have discovered the historical origins of the rituals of Islam found in the Qur'an. they derive fom pre-islamic pagan sources.
Comment:-
The historical origins are of little interest.
The fact that your remote ancesters were apes or fish, for instance, tells us nothing about you.
What Muslims are interested in is that which has been recommended as spiritually effective by someone with a consciousness much superior to yours by reason of which he was in closer contact with God.
If, however, you are interested in origins and also Christianity, then you would be better employed looking into the origin of Christian doctrines and rites. You will find that most of these have nothing to do with Jesus. This includes Christmas, Easter, Tinity, the various ceremonies which take place in the churches and the statues they contain.
Critic:-
It should be noted that some of the stuff in Islamic literature can be found in the New Testament in form or another, as coming from the mouth of Jesus, but it was taken from the writings of Hillel, which in turn was influenced by Greek writings, which in turn was influenced by Confucianism and Buddhism and so on..
Comment:-
There was a chap in 3000 BC in Egypt who saw the sun and the moon and noted that the alternation between Day and Night and the rise and sinking of the tide.
These facts were mentioned by a person in China in 100 BC, and in India as recently as 200 AD and in Arabia in 600 AD. They also mention it in Europe in the 19th century.
In 2000 AD there is a wise fellow called JohnFT who discovered all this and is convinced that they all got it from the the Egyptian because he was the first known person to note all this. What is more, he also thinks that all these stories are illusions.
Some people had twisted the stories and lost the meaning. When a person with greater insight came to show what these stories really referred to, JohnFT who did not know about insight because he had never experienced any, could not see the difference. Nor did he wonder why just those stories and not others were included in a book which contained so much more and had a unique style. He was like a man
When shown a beautiful pattern looks only at a corner and misses the pattern altogether. So he became a loser.
